The November 2020 SharingChange grant recipient Lascassas Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) is the primary fire protection organization for the Lascassas and Milton communities in the Rutherford County area. The LVFD is made up of 100% volunteer firefighters, including a chief, assistant chief, two captains and two lieutenants. This 55-member team responds to more than 200 fire calls per year out of two stations.
The LVFD is dedicated to serving the citizens of the community and strives to provide the highest quality emergency services possible. Through the cooperation and efforts of Lascassas and Milton residents, the team successfully serves to protect the community, upholding five core characteristics: integrity, dedication, self-sacrifice, courage, and loyalty.
